With 26 healthy horses to choose from (or bring your own) and over 600 acres for trail riding, each rider at Newell Lodge is matched with a horse whose size a temperament is suitable for those even as young as age six. From sunrise to sunset, trail rides and lessons will keep visitors improving their "saddle skills." Games and other activities are offered in conjunction with the equine and educational learning experience, as well.

Newell Lodge's owners have shared their love of and respect for horses with their many visitors since opening in 2007. They teach visitors how to ride, care for, house and understand horses through the Horsemanship program, their summer day camps and a variety of fun and relaxing trail rides.
Buggy rides are another way people can enjoy the grace and power of these beautiful animals, should a visitor choose not to ride.
